End-to-end automation of weather report production and distribution

In 2023, Aski-da Synergies led the implementation of a comprehensive automated production system that enables TV Monaco to receive three broadcast-ready weather reports each day.

Operated remotely, the system handles the entire process, from retrieving weather data to generating and delivering broadcast-ready content.

The challenge: automating an entire production workflow

The project required designing an architecture capable of automating the entire production line, while adhering to TV Monaco’s technical, editorial, and scheduling constraints.

The solution had to integrate data provided by Météo France, graphic elements, and various hardware and software components, while ensuring the reliability of data streams, cybersecurity, and service continuity.

From weather data to broadcast-ready content

Aski-da Synergies provided the overall framework and management for the project, from requirements analysis through to system deployment and ongoing monitoring.

The scope of work included drafting functional and technical specifications, defining the architecture and production workflows, as well as selecting and coordinating the various suppliers and service providers.

The integration covered the entire process: retrieval of weather data, graphic and video generation, automation of processing, quality control, and delivery of broadcast-ready content. The workflow relies in particular on Embrace’s Automate-IT, After Effects rendering engines, and data from Météo France.

The system also incorporated redundancy and disaster recovery mechanisms, cybersecurity measures, and a comprehensive testing and acceptance process.

After the system went live, Aski-da Synergies provided support, monitored SLAs, and handled corrective and evolutionary maintenance.

The result

TV Monaco has an automated system capable of producing and delivering three broadcast-ready weather reports daily, without requiring any on-site staff at the network’s offices.

The entire process, from data retrieval to content delivery, can thus be carried out remotely in an automated and secure manner.
