The challenge: deploying a temporary infrastructure without compromising quality
France Télévisions needed to process the feeds from OBS at the highest possible quality while integrating this temporary infrastructure into its existing environment.
Beyond the technical challenges associated with ST-2110, the project required close coordination among the engineering, operations, and IT teams, as well as precise planning of the resources, equipment, and space needed for the deployment.
It was also necessary to optimize investments related to a temporary setup, particularly by reusing equipment from other projects and by planning ahead for purchases that could be reused later.
Our solution
Aski-da Synergies provided strategic guidance and cross-functional project management, from the requirements analysis through the testing and validation phases.
The assignment focused in particular on defining the objectives of the ST-2110 system, analyzing the requirements for interconnection with OBS, and identifying the use cases associated with the various content streams: UHD HDR, HD, audio, and mosaics.
The various departments at France Télévisions were coordinated to align the network and operational teams, as well as the technical experts, around the project’s objectives.
A detailed action plan was also drawn up to organize the temporary deployment, the provision of a dedicated physical space, procurement, and logistical and budgetary constraints.
Finally, the teams oversaw the preparatory work, equipment installation, the interconnection with OBS, and the various testing and technical validation phases.

The result
For Paris 2024, France Télévisions was able to deploy a temporary, operational ST-2110 infrastructure for the transmission of uncompressed UHD HDR feeds. The project also made it possible to optimize investments in a temporary setup by prioritizing the reuse of existing equipment and selecting hardware that could be reused beyond the event.
