Creating a shared video production tool to foster new uses

Between 2024 and 2025, as part of the relocation of its headquarters to Malakoff, the Bayard Group entrusted Aski-da Synergies with overseeing the creation of a shared multimedia environment for the group’s various departments.

The project was part of a broader effort to strengthen Bayard’s audiovisual capabilities, consolidate previously scattered resources, and support the evolution of its digital formats and uses.

The challenge: unifying workflows around a shared environment

Until then, audiovisual production had been spread across several departments with varying resources, equipment, and practices.

The goal was to design a shared environment capable of supporting a wide variety of uses: social media content, multi-camera productions, podcasts, audiobooks, webinars, live broadcasts, and internal communications.

The studio had to be compact, versatile, and simple enough to operate so as to promote team autonomy. The project also involved coordinating more than thirty representatives from Bayard’s various departments and divisions, as well as several specialized service providers.

Project management: bringing together business units, use cases, and technology

More than thirty representatives from Bayard’s various business units and departments were consulted to analyze existing practices, future needs, and the specific constraints of each use case.

This consultation phase made it possible to establish a shared functional overview and define the technical specifications. Aski-da Synergies then drafted and managed the request for proposals for audiovisual integrators, analyzed the proposals, and coordinated the selected partners, notably CTM Solutions for workflows and training, and CVS Engineering for the studio set and scenery.

The studio features a modular video set with a green screen and corner set piece, a recording booth equipped with Pro Tools, a central control room for multicamera production, mixing, and editing, as well as dedicated storage areas.

Throughout the project, Aski-da Synergies served as the liaison between business departments and technical teams, oversaw the integration process, and balanced usage requirements, technical constraints, budget, and schedule.

Team support and training were also incorporated from the design phase to facilitate familiarization with the new environment and promote its independent use.

A shared environment, designed to foster autonomy

Bayard now has a shared, versatile multimedia environment that brings together resources that were previously scattered across various locations into a single shared space.

Designed to accommodate the diverse uses and needs of the teams, the studio enables different departments to produce content more independently—content tailored for social media, digital formats, internal communications, and audiovisual productions.
