Supporting and training more than 3,000 users on the group’s new editorial tool

Between 2019 and 2025, Aski-da Synergies supported CGI in the deployment of a new content management and editorial workflow solution at France Télévisions.

The project involved more than 3,000 users spread across the headquarters, regional offices, and overseas locations. To address this large-scale transformation, a comprehensive training and support program was implemented to assist the teams throughout the various phases of deployment.

Supporting a nationwide transformation

Rolling out a new solution (NRCS OpenMedia—Newsroom Computer System, a software that centralizes content management and editorial processes for a newsroom) to several thousand users with different profiles, roles, and needs presents a major challenge in terms of adoption and transforming work practices.

The goal was to enable each team to quickly develop the necessary skills, while ensuring a consistent and uniform approach across all affected sites.

The diversity of user profiles, the project’s geographic scope, and the number of users involved thus required an organizational structure capable of coordinating resources, training programs, and on-the-ground support.

Coordinating training, resources, and support

To support this transformation, a dedicated team of 35 people was assembled, and 45 training programs were designed to cater to the diverse profiles and backgrounds of users.

Aski-da Synergies provided overall management of the initiative: defining the scope of the training project, coordinating activities, managing resources and scheduling, monitoring the budget, and identifying and anticipating risks.

Particular attention was also paid to building the skills of the teams responsible for training and supporting users, in order to ensure consistent knowledge transfer and continuity in support.

The program was structured around three complementary areas:

the design and coordination of training pathways and materials;
the preparation of the necessary conditions for deployment;
user support at the various sites.

Feedback collected during training sessions and deployment phases was centralized and monitored to quickly identify areas requiring adjustment and to continuously improve the support system.

The result

More than 3,000 users were supported in adopting the new OpenMedia solution through 45 training programs.

This initiative enabled the deployment of a consistent approach nationwide, while taking into account the diversity of user profiles, job roles, and locations.

This approach helped ensure a smooth transition, facilitated the development of teams’ skills, and promoted the adoption of the new solution across all affected sites.
